Graphidaceae
Graphis scripta Growth type crustose. Chemical results negative Common on smooth barked trees, branches and twigs. Host to Arthonia graphidicola, Stigmidium microspilum and Taeniolella punctata Very variable. Curved or stellate lirellae, +/- open, +/- white pruinose. Carbonaceous margins raised and unfurrowed. Mature spores are colourless but may become brown when old, 5-15 septate, 25-70 x 6-10 µm. Microscope photograph below. Similar: Graphis elegans K+ yellow turning red.
