Graphis elegans Growth type crustose Chemical results: K+ yellow slowly turning red, P+ orange Smooth-barked trees and twigs The black apothecia have raised carbonaceous margins with 2-7 longitudinal furrows (not always clearly visible). Discs are not pruinose. Spores are 7-12 septate, 30-50 x 6-12 µm, colourless but can be brown when over-mature. Microscope photograph below. Similar: Graphis scripta. K-, margins without furrows |
