Discs appear grey-pruinose because of hyaline, refractive hairs with recurved ends on swollen, incurved rims. Asci 8-spored, spores hyaline, simple, 6-7 x 3-4 µm, ovoid to oblong and often with several guttules. Unguiculariopsis thallophila is parasitic on Lecanora chlarotera
