Muellerella sp. # Lichenicolous fungus. Photographs on Lecanora horiza Muellerella spp. seem not to be host-specific and molecular evidence suggests that the spore size and the number in the asci has no relationship to the species. To further complicate things similar species that look just like Muelllerella are scattered over several families and an extensive study is needed. Asci multi-spored, the spores brown, 1-septate, (6-)7 x 4-5 µm. Micrographs below.
