Psoroglaena stigonemoides Growth type minutely fruticose. BLS conservation evaluation: LC Chemical results negative Mainly found on the shaded, dusty bark of Elder (Sambucus), but also occurs on Hedera and Ulmus. Usually in sheltered, humid conditions. Green, coralloid, minutely fruticose thallus, densely branched and locally coalescing into piles of soredia-like granules. The ovoid perithecia are pale orange-brown, asci 8-spored, the spores 3-4(-5) septate, (13-)16-21 x (4-)5-6 µm. Micrographs showing thallus structure below. Similar: P. abscondita.
