Gyalecta jenensis Growth type crustose Chemical results negative. Photobiont Trentepohlia Found on damp, shaded limestone and on old church walls. The thin light-grey thallus is often pink-tinged. Distinctive pale orange apothecia with thick notched margins are initially spherical. Asci 8-spored, spores hyaline, 3-septate to muriform when mature, with 3-6 transverse septa and 1-2 longitudinal septa, (11-)15-25(-40) x 6-10(-16) µm. Micrographs below. Similar: Petractis clausa.
