Old woodland and parkland species found on dry, shaded bark of mature and old Yew and Oak. BLS conservation evaluation: NT NS P Eng Wa IR

Thin greyish, green or olive-brown thallus with scattered or contiguous, straight or curved lirellae. Discs persistently slit-like with swollen exciple. Spores 8-14 septate, (40-)50-70(-80) x 6-8 µm with a narrow perispore. Microscope photographs below.

Similar: O. viridis. Usually on younger bark, smaller knot-like apothecia
