Hawksworthiana peltigericola # Lichenicolous. Photographs on Peltigera didactyla Parasitic on thalli of Peltigera species. In Britain and Ireland recorded from Peltigera hymenina and Peltigera didactyla. Gall-inducing, the fungal mycelium immersed in convex galls on the host thallus. Galls 0.5-1 mm in diameter. Conidia hyaline, 15-25 x 5-6.5(-7) µm, usually simple (but occasionally 1-septate), the base attenuated with a thickened scar. Micrographs of conidia below.
