Micarea lignaria var. lignaria Growth type crustose Chemistry: Thallus K-, C-, KC-, P+ red. Apothecial section C- Common on acidic substrates; moss or plant debris, peat, timber, shaded rocks and walls. Granular whitish, pale grey or grey-green thallus, the globose blackish apothecia usually abundant, pycnidia +/- immersed. Spores sometimes slightly curved, 3-7 septate, 16-36 x 4-6 µm.
