Easily overlooked on siliceous stream rocks, leaves, stems and on the needles and twigs of Pseudotsuga. BLS conservation evaluation: LC NR

Small patches of thallus formed of green-grey to bluish-green granules, usually with bluish prothallus. Photobiont cells 5-12 µm diameter. Apothecia 0.1-0.2(-0.3) mm, discs usually blue-grey or bluish-black. Pycnidia blue-grey or bluish-black. Spores 3(-5) septate, 16-30 x 3-4 µm.
