Parmeliopsis hyperopta Growth type foliose Cortex K+ weak yellow. Medulla K-, C-, KC-, P-, UV+ glaucous white Mainly found in upland areas on the bark of old conifers, occasional on old wooden fence posts, heather stems and dry lignum. Thallus of small grey or bluish-grey lobes with scattered or contiguous white to bluish-grey pustular soralia. Underside pale to dark brown with scattered rhizines. Apothecia are very rare. Similar: Parmeliopsis ambigua, thallus yellowish green or yellowish grey. Imshaugia aleurites is isidiate |
