Fuscidea cyathoides Growth type crustose Chemical results: K+ dirty-yellow, C-, P+ red, UV- Common on siliceous coastal and upland rocks. Very variable, warm-brown or greyish, greenish-white in shade, smooth or rough, cracked or areolate. Surrounded by black prothallus which is often visible between the areoles. Sessile apothecia, convex dark-brown or black discs with paler margins. Similar: Fuscidea kochiana and Fuscidea lygaea |
