Lecanographa atlantica (Lecanographa dialeuca) Growth type crustose Chemical results negative. BLS conservation evaluation: VU D2 NR In Britain and Ireland only on chert rocks on the Isle of Portland, Dorset. Elsewhere occurs on coastal granite in Macaronesia and NW Spain Smooth or uneven, thick, whitish thallus with large, +/- completely immersed apothecia. The lirelliform apothecia are variable in shape, blackish with a dense pruina when young. Asci 8-spored, spores fusiform, 6-7(-8) septate, 21-29 x 3.5-5.5 µm, straight or slightly curved. |
