Physcia leptalea Growth type foliose Chemical results: Cortex: K+ yellow Often coastal, also found inland on well-lit basic-barked, nutrient-rich twigs and branches. Usually abundantly fertile, the dark apothecia with thick margins, discs +/- pruinose. Thallus is light grey with long, narrow lobes, pseudocyphellate and with prominent cilia. White under-surface with some scattered rhizines. Soredia are absent. Similar: Both P. tenella and P. adscendens are sorediate |
