Flavoplaca arcis (Caloplaca arcis) Growth type crustose Chemical results: K+ crimson Can be common on cement and limestone, often found in churchyards. Previously known as 'Caloplaca A' by churchyard recording groups. BLS conservation evaluation: LC NS Thallus appearing as minute yellow rosettes, lobate at margins. Margins of areoles with large blastidia, soredia absent. Similar: Caloplaca citrina and Caloplaca flavocitrina are sorediate but without marginal lobes |
