Lambiella furvella # (Rimularia furvella) Growth type lichenized / lichenicolous Chemical results: C+ pink. Sometimes K+ yellow > red, C+ pink, P+ yellow Over-grows various crustose lichen species on exposed siliceous rocks. Photographs on Porpidia tuberculosa Areolate thallus appearing as a dark brown or black granular or minutely-isidiate stain. Spores becoming brown, simple, 12-18 x 7-9 µm. Similar: Sterile Placynthiella icmalea is found in shady, humid habitats |
