Ramalina fraxinea Growth type fruticose Chemical reactions and UV negative Can be locally frequent on basic-barked trees, e.g Sycamore, Ash, Poplar but decreasing due to SO2 pollution and nutrient-enrichment. The loose, +/- pendant thallus has finely ridged broad lobes to 4cm wide. The apothecia are often on short-stalks, laminal, marginal and apical. Spores kidney shaped, 1-septate 10-17 x 4-7 µm |
