Cladonia digitata Chemical results: K+ yellow, C-, KC-, P+ orange, UV- In mature woodlands on rotting wood and tree stumps Basal squamules large (to 1cm diam), spreading horizontally and often dominant. Yellowish green-grey above, densely white farinose-sorediate below and on upturned margins. Often orange-tinged near base. Podetia to 1cm tall, apothecia and pycnidia red. Similar: C. incrassata and C. parasitica have smaller, deeply incised squamules, coarsely granular-sorediate. |
