Peltigera canina Growth type foliose Chemical results negative Widespread but local among grass or mosses on sandy, acidic to slightly basic soils on dunes, heaths, grassland and stabilised shingle. Grey or grey-brownish bullate lobes, +/- white tomentose, whitish underneath with smooth, flattened veins. Rhizines bushy, much-branched. Saddle-shaped brown to blackish apothecia.
