Lecanora barkmaniana Growth type crustose Chemistry: K+ yellow, C-, P +/- yellow. Thalline margin P-, UV+ orange A recently described member of the Lecanora subfuscata group. Probably under-recorded on dusty or nutrient-enriched wayside trees Pale grey thallus with a paler grey prothallus. Punctiform soralia with pale yellowish-green soredia spread to cover much of the thallus. Apothecia rare, discs pale brown with crenulate margins. Pycnidia absent. Similar to Lecanora compallens (K-, C-), L. expallens K+ yellow, C+ yellow/orange) and Pyrrhospora quernea K-, C+ orange |
