Trapelia glebulosa s. lat Growth type crustose. Chemical results: Thallus: C+ red, UV+ white The aggregate comprises Trapelia glebulosa and Trapelia involuta Common on siliceous rocks and pebbles, rare on worked timber and among rocks on coastal peaty turf. Scattered white or greyish squamules form clumps or a +/- continuous, overlapping crust, margin subsquamulose. Apothecia have brown or reddish-pink discs with thin whitish margins. Spores simple. Often infertile. Similar: Trapelia coarctata and Trapelia placodioides |
