Solenopsora vulturiensis Growth type squamulose Chemical results: K+ pale yellow, C-, KC+ pale yellow, P-, UV- Coastal above HWM on shaded rocks and in seepage tracks and nutrient-rich soil pockets. Most frequent on western coasts. Thallus of small, congested, pale bluish-grey pruinose lobes that are variably sorediate at their tips. Can be variable, the thallus sometimes granular, lobes +/- contorted. The pale pinkish-brown, globose apothecia are infrequent. Similar: Trapeliopsis wallrothii, C+ red. Can also resemble Lepraria spp. |
