Lecidella scabra Growth type crustose Chemical results: K+ yellow, soredia C+ orange Common on acidic walls and rocks. Also found on slightly base-rich rocks and occasionally on weathered or dusty wood and tree bases. Thin or roughly granular grey thallus, often tinged greenish. Delimited soralia become confluent, bluish-green or yellow-green, grey-green when rubbed. Apothecia infrequent with black discs, soralia reduced when present. Similar: Can be confused with Lecanora pannonica (also C+) and infertile sorediate Lecania erysibe (C-) |
