Cladoniaceae Cladonia scabriuscula Primary thallus squamulose, secondary thallus fruticose Chemical results: K+/- yellow, C-,KC-, P+ red, UV- Pale greenish-white branched podetia, the cortex peeling and becoming +/- decorticate, scabrid with peeling squamules. Scattered granular soredia at tips, brown apothecia. Well-drained peat, acidic soils, wall tops and on heavy metal mine spoil. Similar: Cladonia furcata has more robust podetia. Cladonia glauca is UV+ white, finely sorediate with single vertical furrow
