Lepraria lobificans Growth type leprose Chemical results: K- or K+ faint yellow, C-, P+ orange, UV- Found in sheltered, usually vertical man-made and natural habitats. Also occurs on trees with less acidic bark, e.g Ash, Sycamore. Spongy pale green, bluish-white or blue-grey granules with indistinct marginal lobes, the granules often eroding with age. The abundant free hyphae form a +/- distinct white medulla. Has never been found fertile. Similar: Lepraria incana s.l. No white cottony medulla visible |
