Cladonia diversa Primary thallus squamulose, secondary thallus fruticose Chemical results: KC+ yellow, P-, UV- Can be common on acidic soil and dunes, heathland and rotting stumps. Most frequent in upland areas. Variable. Persistent yellow-green squamules followed by short, +/- deformed podetia with small squamules or corticate, easily detached granules on the upper part and within scyphi. Wide, +/- mis-shaped cups with red pycnidia or apothecia. Similar: Cladonia coccifera, few squamules, granules +/- flattened |
