Cladonia coniocraea Primary thallus squamulose, secondary thallus fruticose. Chemical results: K-, P+ red Pollution resistant. Common in woods on mossy trees or rotting wood. The basal squamules, often +/- sorediate, can form large patches. Podetia are narrow, +/- squamulose at base, becoming sorediate above, the tips pointed or with small, narrow cups. Often found with (and can appear similar to) Cladonia ochrochlora |
