Diptera: Cecidomyiidae - gall midge
 Dasineura rosae Photographs on Rosa canina agg, Dog-rose Hosts: Rosa arvensis, canina, corymbifera, gallica, rubiginosa, tomentosa, villosa Leaflet thickened and folded upwards along main vein. Two or more generations of gregarious larvae, white becoming yellowish-orange. Pupation occurs in the ground. Larvae remaining white at maturity may belong to Macrolabis luceti (an iniquiline). Parasitoids and predators include Lestodiplosis rosarum and Torymus microstigma  |
