Diptera: Cecidomyiidae - gall midge
 Hartigiola annulipes Photographs on Fagus sylvatica, Beech Hosts: Fagus orientalis, sylvatica Initialy forms small flattened domes or circular pustules, visible on both sides of leaves. Pale green mature galls are cylindrical and +/- hairy with pale or red-brown hairs. Single generation, the solitary white larva pupating in the fallen gall and emerging in spring  |
