 Andricus quercuscorticis Agamic generation - photographs on Quercus, Oak Hosts: Agamic and sexual generations on Quercus petraea, pubescens, robur Agamic - clusters of greenish ovoid galls embedded in callous tissue on trunks, frequently visited by ants. Empty galls persist for several years Sexual - smooth, thin-walled, egg-shaped bud gall to 2.5mm tall with a narrow base. Galls occur May-June, but usually hidden by bud scales. Identical to those of A. sieboldi, need rearing to confirm  |
