 Andricus solitarius Agamic generation - photographs on Quercus, Oak Hosts: Agamic and sexual generations on Q. petraea, pubescens, pyrenaica, robur Agamic - elongate bud gall, the tip 2-3mm long and slightly curved. Initially covered with red / gold hairs, becoming smooth. No inner gall chamber Sexual - develops in immature catkins. Gall less than 3mm with two length ridges, thin-walled, smooth or slightly hairy with longer hairs at base  |
