 Bluebell Hyacinthoides non-scripta Flowering time: April-May. Perennial bulb. Native Found on calcareous or slightly acidic soils in deciduous woodland, shady hedge banks, grassland and bracken covered slopes The blue flowers are one-sided on drooping stalks above green linear leaves. Spreads both vegetatively and by seed. Similar: Hybrid Bluebell, H. x massartiana has larger, lighter-blue flowers. Introduced.  |
