Can be locally frequent in SW England and in western Scotland and Ireland on wet heaths and sphagnum bogs but declining due to habitat loss
Dorset status: Scarce - International Responsibility

Sticky glands on the purple-veined leaves trap insects which are digested to provide nutrients for the plant. The long-stalked, pale lilac-pink flowers are followed by globular seed capsules. Flower stems 3-10cm
